Integrated Management Strategies (IMS) is certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as an 8(a) Small Business. IMS’s consultants come from the frontlines of public and private program executive management teams and understand the day-to-day challenges faced by organizations such as the Center for Medicaid & Medicare Service (CMS), the Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, Health & Human Services, and other agencies. We are seeking an Auditor to support our Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT) contract.
Job Requirements
Auditor Duties:
- Conduct American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (ADCES) DSMT entities desk audit.
- Conduct AO desk audits (ADA) to include interviews with the AO program coordinator, document review, and performance scoring.
- Assist with drafting and preparing final audit reports to submit to audited organizations and the client.
- Serve as backup contact in the absence/unavailability of the program or project manager.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Select entities for audit using updated reports and a database that lists all accredited DSMT entities.
- Perform analysis of data obtained from selected accredited DSMT entities.
- Provide recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year’s DSMT accreditation validation oversight activities.
- Prepare a report that identifies findings from the AO desk audits.
- Prepare a draft Final Report that provides an overview of the completed project deliverables to CMS.
- Write a detailed report on any recommendations and justification to improve the oversight and validation process.
- Maintain DSMT audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research.
- Help design, implement, and maintain internal audit procedures, and risk assessment processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable plans, policies, and standards.
- Stay current on industry trends and audit practices.
- Follow up on audit recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a nurse, physician, or other health care professional.
- Clinical background in Diabetes Management, preferably with DSMT.
- Sound understanding of audit theories, principles, and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, and time management skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative remote environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and SharePoint).
Job Details
This job is remote.
Pay: Up to $31 per hour.
